The Policy Analyst will lead ASAN’s policy work in selected issue areas and work closely with the Director of Public Policy and other members of the policy team.

The job is a salaried position paying $69,000 annually. For reasons of fairness, ASAN does not negotiate salaries during the hiring process.

This position offers a comprehensive health insurance plan and other benefits, including a 32-hour, four-day workweek, retirement plan, dental insurance, commuter benefits for office-based employees, and up to 20 days of paid time off per year.

The Policy Analyst will work out of ASAN’s Washington, DC office and must be up to date on their COVID-19 vaccinations. Hybrid work arrangements are available, but this position does require being located in the Washington, DC metro area. This is a NewsGuild-Communication Workers of America represented position.

ROLE SUMMARY

Community Choice Waiver Case Manager empowers individuals with disabilities to address barriers in order to regain, maintain or increase their independence and access the life and community which is most meaningful to them. About the Project

The Texas State Independent Living Council (TXSILC) has been awarded funding to lead a collaborative effort with Centers for Independent Living (CILs), disability organizations, and emergency management partners to strengthen disaster preparedness, response, and recovery for Texans with disabilities. People with disabilities are disproportionately impacted during disasters, and this project will ensure their voices, needs, and solutions are at the center of planning. Through a peer-led, consumer-informed model—including a “train the trainer” approach—we will build tools, systems, and networks that increase safety, equity, and resiliency across the Gulf Coast region.
